Wings of Peace: A Call for Beirut
Wings of Peace: A Call for Beirut
I created this artwork as my call for peace and to stop the war. Lebanon, especially Beirut, is going through so much right now due to the ongoing conflict between Hezbollah and Israel. Through this piece, I wanted to capture the emotional weight of the situation. In the artwork, a view of Beirut from behind a window is paired with the Martyrs' Statue, symbolizing the city’s enduring strength through hardship. On the other side of the window, a statue from Canada shows a figure releasing a bird, a symbol of hope and freedom.
This mixed media artwork, built using photographs as a foundation, merges worlds of struggle and hope. It’s my personal message—peace and love to Beirut, and a call to stop the war.
